Conscientia

Conscientia: Latin for conscience. Conscience, defined as a moral sense of awareness between right and wrong, does not fully characterize my intent. For me, conscientia connotes, more thoroughly, self-reflection and an intrinsic propensity for calm judgement and practical wisdom. Similar to a philosopher who explores the relation of self to the world, I utilizes painting as a visual tool enabling me to discover meaning in my life and my surroundings.
